How to Play Papyrus Fight Simulator

Click inside the game window to start. In this encounter with The Great Papyrus, he will quickly turn your red SOUL blue, introducing gravity to the battle. You must jump over his bone attacks and survive his increasingly complex platforming challenges until he uses his final attack.

What is Papyrus Fight Simulator?

This is a web-based recreation of the classic boss fight against Papyrus from the end of Undertale's Snowdin area. It faithfully reproduces the blue SOUL mechanics, allowing you to practice your timing and platforming skills without having to replay the entire early game.

Battle Mechanics

• Blue SOUL (Gravity): Unlike normal battles, you cannot float freely. You rest at the bottom of the bullet board and must jump to dodge.
• Bone Heights: Bones come in various sizes. The height of your jump is determined by how long you hold the Up arrow.
• Blue Bones: A recurring mechanic where you will take damage if you move while touching them, but they pass through safely if you stand completely still.

Tips for Beating Papyrus

• Control Your Jump Height: A quick tap of the Up arrow is a short hop; holding it down gives you a high jump. Use short hops for tight gaps to avoid hitting the top of the box.
• Don't Move on Blue: When you see blue bones, let go of the movement keys completely. They will pass through your SOUL without dealing damage.
• Watch the Skateboarding Bones: Later in the fight, bones will move on skateboards. Pay attention to their speed, as they close the distance faster than normal bones.
• Use Your Items: If you get hit often, don't forget to use the ITEM button during your turn to heal.
• Prepare for the Final Attack: After his special attack is stolen by a dog, he unleashes a massive, very tall bone. Be ready to hold jump to its absolute maximum to clear it.
