What is Undertale Last Breath?

Undertale Last Breath is one of the most famous and challenging Undertale fan games, featuring a three-phase Sans battle. Originally developed by ZerJox and Team Imagination, this web-playable version lets you experience Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 of the Last Breath AU without downloading an executable.

If you came from Bad Time Simulator, Last Breath expands the Sans-style challenge into three increasingly difficult phases.

Undertale Last Breath Phase 1, Phase 2 & Phase 3

  • Phase 1 (Not a Slacker Anymore): Similar to the original Undertale genocide fight, but with slightly altered patterns and higher speeds.
  • Phase 2 (The Slaughter Continues): Sans receives a fatal blow but refuses to die. Attacks become much more aggressive, incorporating screen-flipping mechanics and unpredictable bone placements.
  • Phase 3 (An Enigmatic Encounter): Sans is barely standing, but mysterious hands (Gaster) take over to manipulate the battle box and unleash devastating, screen-filling attacks.

Tips for Surviving Last Breath

  • Phase 1 Healing: Try to reach Phase 2 without using your best healing items. You will need them for the later, much more chaotic phases.
  • Adapt to Screen Flips: In Phase 2, the screen will rotate and flip. Focus strictly on your SOUL's position relative to the attacks rather than the background orientation.
  • Watch the Gaster Blasters: The blasters in Last Breath often fire much faster and wider than in the original game. Memorize their spawn locations to pre-position your SOUL.
  • Use Short Jumps: During blue SOUL platforming segments, rely on quick taps of the Up arrow to navigate tight vertical gaps.
  • Muscle Memory is Key: You will likely die repeatedly. Treat each death as a learning experience to memorize the exact pattern of the attack that killed you.
